- Overall: A solid Tim Burton movie with a very interesting fantasy world.
 - Who is it for? Anyone looking for something fantastic and kids.

 - Setting: An alternative fantasy world where people develop peculiar talents.
 - Style: Fantasy children story of good versus bad with some darkness.
 - Story: Lots of nice details, action, suspense, intrigue, magic, a burgeoning romance, some tragedy and multiple dark deeds, all very well handled. Excellent mix of light and dark.
 - Ending: Action intensive and clever.
 - Epilogue: A bit much, but still nicely done.
 - Characters: The bad guys are very simple, but so peculiar they are as interesting as the good guys who are a bit more developed, but still somewhat simple.
 - Acting: Very good.
 - Visuals: Astoundingly beautiful.
 - Special Effects: Almost perfect. Nothing to detract from the story.
 - Afterthoughts: Got out of the cinema very satisfied and well entertained.
