- Story: Linear and predictable. Lots of action, romance and a few laughs.
- Setting: An incredible fantasy version of ancient Egypt, its strongest selling point. Tons of details and great ideas.
- Ending: Weak, anticlimactic.
- Characters: Overly simple.
- Acting: Unimpressive, Butler being an exception.
- Known actors: Gerard Butler, Geoffrey Rush, Rufus Sewell and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
- Visuals: Spectacular, beautiful, fantastic.
- Special Effects: Lots of it, but nothing pushed, just tweaked until it was good enough. Unremarkable.
- Synopsis & information: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2404233/
- Entertainment value: Meh.
- Who is it for? Those interested in a fantastic vision of ancient Egypt. All others should abstain.
I've decided to simply go for a score without any review. Maybe I'll start again doing full reviews someday.
