Gods of Egypt — Only good for its fantastic visions of ancient Egypt — 6*/10

  • Story: Linear and predictable. Lots of action, romance and a few laughs.

  • Ending: Weak, anticlimactic.
  • Characters: Overly simple.
  • Acting: Unimpressive, Butler being an exception.
  • Known actors: Gerard Butler, Geoffrey Rush, Rufus Sewell and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
  • Visuals: Spectacular, beautiful, fantastic.
  • Special Effects: Lots of it, but nothing pushed, just tweaked until it was good enough. Unremarkable.
  • Synopsis & informationhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt2404233/
  • Entertainment value: Meh.
  • Who is it for? Those interested in a fantastic vision of ancient Egypt. All others should abstain.
