- Story: It's a basic romantic comedy and everything is included. A bit of silliness, even wackiness, embarrassing situations, misunderstandings, in-laws, an inspector and a dog. Nothing really novel, except for the initial situation which is definitively the second biggest selling point of this flick. That being said, the laughs are plenty and easy, the story light and easy.
- Setting: Too rich for middle class, the usual American dream, some down to earth stuff to make it more accessible.
- Ending: Very sugary, but nice and well acted.
- Dialogs: Simple and funny.
- Characters: Simple, but interesting.
- Acting: Solid for the most part, especially the main parts which is the biggest selling point of this flick.
- Known actors: Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Betty White and Malin Akerman.
- Synopsis & information:
- Entertainment value: Good.
- Who is it for? Those looking for something romantic, funny and light, but don't require novelty.
I've decided to simply go for a score without any review. Maybe I'll start again doing full reviews someday.
