Si vous aimez le texte originel d'Edmond Rostand, il n'y a pas de raison de ne pas adorer ce film. Cela fait maintenant plusieurs années que j'apprécie ce film et il est difficile pour moi d'imaginer une interprétation différente.

Le visuel est parfait et vieilli très bien. Les mots sont portés avec une précision émotionnelle et intellectuelle impressionnante. Je n'ai presque rien à redire de cette production.

La Femme Nikita - Un film d'action fictif au fort réalisme - 9*/10

La Femme Nikita est le film qui a fait connaître Luc Besson et pour bonne cause. Le tout est monté de manière très solide. Beaucoup d'action, des personnages solides et avec une bonne profondeur, une histoire touchante, un psychologie très réelle, et une fin irréprochable.

À voir absolument, à moins que l'on ne veuille pas voir de l'action ou de la violence.

Predator 2 — Not worth the time to see it — 5*/10

Predator 2 is a the gold old fashion crappy sequel to a success. The only good thing about it is that you get to see an other Predator story. I won't take the time to enumerate all that's bad or ugly, it's a waste of time.

Those interested might want to know that Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Bill Paxton, and Adam Baldwin are playing in this production and all of them giving us subpar performance, either due to poor direction or poor script.

Only recommended to die hard fans of the series.

Pump Up the Volume — Teenage angst and raising your voice to defy the status quo — 9*/10

Pump Up the Volume might have been the true opening salvo of the 90s, and the voice of Generation X, but it speaks to every teen of every generation.

It is about raising your voice, being heard, but only with the advent of the Internet was its dream fully realized.

This is the type of movie that will make you want to write your own blog, make a video journal, or do a podcast. It has that quality that grip people attention and make them do things worthwhile with their lives.

It's an excellent performance by a young Christian Slater, and the rest of the cast. The whole story, every scene, each dialog, they all ring of authenticity. And the soundtrack is amazing.

It might be getting old, but it doesn't feel like it.

The Grifters — What is the best con? Who's getting conned? — 6*/10

The Grifters will twist your head around until you're unable to tell who's conning who. The uncertainty is very entertaining and will keep you guessing until the end.

However, there's a few problem with the movie. First off, the score. Instead of being invisible and underlining the  visual, it can at time jar you into reality. Second, the two main actresses are inferior to what John Cusack is doing. Actually, most other actors are pretty average if not below. Third, the "mob" felt cartoony. Fourth, the blood and injuries are so fake, I think I could do better. Finally, it's old enough to look like a period piece out of the eighties, but was made to seem current. That felt odd.

All in all, it's entertaining, just don't mind the odd things lying about.
